Defence PSU BEML Wins Rs 405 Cr Order, Shares Gain 13.59% In 1-Day

Defence sector public sector undertaking BEML share price jumped 13.59% today on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and rose 22.77% in last 2-weeks. Last trading price of BEML shares on BSE stood at Rs 3132.65 per share. The company bagged Rs 405 crore order after market hours from Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). BEML has a market capitalisation of Rs 13,045.76 crore with free float market cap at Rs 5,972.79 crore. BEML Receives New Order From BMRCL

According to the exchange filing of the company dated March 27, 2025, “We hereby inform that BEML Limited has secured a contract from M/s. Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) for Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Standard Gauge Metro Cars and Training of Personnel including Comprehensive Maintenance upto Fifteen (15) Years under Bengaluru Metro Rail Projects.” The value of the contract is approximately Rs. 405 Crores and the same is in normal course of business.

BEML Ltd Dividend In 2025

Board of Directors of the PSU on Feb 06, 2025 declared an interim dividend of Rs. 5/- per equity share of Rs.10/- each (i.e. 50% of paid up share capital) for the financial year 2024-25. The company fixed March 14, 2025 as the record date.

BEML Shares Performance

The 52-week high price of BEML shares on BSE stood at Rs 5489.15 per share (as on 05/07/2024) and 52-week low price is Rs 2346.35 per share (as on 03/03/2024), respectively. BEML shares plunged 23.9% year-to-date, fell over 15% in last 6-months, and dipped 1.72% in last 1-year. The stock offered massive returns of 736.38% in last 5-years.

BEML Q3 Results

It reported a fall of 49.4% in its consolidated net profit to Rs 24.41 crore for Q3FY25 as against Rs 48.20 crore announced in the corresponding quarter of last year. The PSU’s revenue from operations declined by 16.4% YoY to Rs 875.77 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024. Total expense slipped 16.1% YoY to Rs 850.70 crore for Q3FY25. The profit before tax recorded at Rs 29.58 crore for the quarter under consideration, indicating a dip of 55.8% as compared to Rs 66.85 crore announced in the similar quarter of last year.
