PSU Bank Under Rs 40 Reports 28.13% Jump In Net Profit, 1.875% Dividend

Public sector lender Central Bank of India share price today settled with the rally of 1.55% to Rs 37.40 per share on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) as Sensex ended the day with the jump of 1005.84 points to 80,218.37. The PSU today reported its financial results along with final dividend. It announced its net profit for Q4FY25 at Rs 1034 crore, indicating a growth of 28.13% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 3785 crore as against Rs 807 crore reported in Q4FY24. Central Bank of India announced its Total Income (Interest Income plus Non-Interest Income) for Q4FY25 jumped by 7.57%from Rs 9699 crore in Q4FY24 to Rs 10433 crore for Q4FY25. Board of Directors of the PSU recommended a final dividend of 1.875% i.e. Re 0.1875 per equity share of Rs. 10 each for FY 2024-25.

Meanwhile, the bank has a market capitalisation of Rs 33,852.24 crore. Its return on equity stood at 13.93%. It is worth noting that the bankโ€™s stock plunged 48.76% from 52-week high price of Rs 72.99 per share. The bank recommended a total of 9 dividends since 2008. FII/FPIโ€™s holdings zoomed from 0.44% to 1.27% for March 2025 quarter. Life Insurance Corporation Of Indiaย ย ย ย  has stake of 3.16% in the PSU. Check key details given below:

Central Bank of India Recommends Dividend

According to the exchange filing of Central Bank of India dated April 28, 2025, โ€œPursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, we wish to inform that the Board of Directors of Bank at their meeting held today i.e. Monday, 28th April, 2025 at Mumbai inter-alia recommended final dividend of 1.875% i.e. Rs.0.1875 per equity share of Rs. 10 each for FY 2024-25, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the Bank.โ€

Central Bank of India Reports Financial Results: According to the press release issued today, Total Business of the Bank declared at Rs 702798 crores as on March 31, 2025, as against Rs 636756 crores, registering growth of Rs 66042 crores (10.37%) on YoY basis. The bank announced that its Total Deposits surged by Rs 27686 crores and stood at Rs 412697 crores as on March 31, 2025, as compared to Rs 385011 crores as at the end of March 31, 2024, reflecting surge of 7.19% on YoY basis.

Meanwhile, Return on Assets (ROA) improved to 0.90% for Q4FY25 as against 0.76% for Q4FY24. Return on Equity (ROE) witnessed improvement to 13.21% for Q4FY25 as against 11.68% for Q4FY24. Net interest income (NII) of the PSU plunged 4% year-on-year to Rs 3,399 crore from Rs 3,541 crore.

The 52-week high of CBI share price stood at Rs 72.99 per share (as on 03/06/2024) and 52-week low price is Rs 33.18 per share (as on 07/04/2025), respectively. Central Bank of India shares gained 8.8% in last 2-week, slipped over 43% in last 1-year, and surged 23.23% in last 2-years. In last 3-years, the stock surged 98.41% and rose 146.5% in last 5-years. The stock plunged 63.9% in last 10-years.
