The company via its exchange filing dated June 1, 2025 declared that its sales in the domestic and international market for May 2025 stood at 70,187 units, compared to 76,766 units during May 2024. The total domestic sales for May 2025 stood at 67,429, indicating a fall of 10% as compared to 75,173 announced in May 2024.
Meanwhile, total commercial vehicle (CV) sales for May 2025 declined to 28,147, showing a dip of 5% from 29,691 reported in May 2024. On the other hand, domestic sale of MH&ICV in May 2025, including trucks and buses, stood at 12,406 units, compared to 12,987 units in May 2024. Why Tata Motors Shares Slipped 38.98% From 52-Week High
The stock declined 38.98% from its 52-week high price of 1179.05 per share at last trading price of Rs 719.45 per share. In last 1-year, the stock fell 22.15%. The main reasons attributed behind the decline in the stock included weak demand trends emerging from China and the recent impact of tariffs that US President Donald Trump declared. Meanwhile, loss in market share of the company in the India CV and PV business turned out to be an area of concern.

Global brokerage firm CLSA issued outperform call and assigned a target price of Rs 805 per share. The analyst said as JLR remains watchful about demand in FY26 due to tariffs and mixed macroeconomic conditions, it does not anticipate the luxury passenger vehicle market to be largely impacted.
Emkay Global has buy call on the stock with target price of Rs 800 apiece. The analyst feels that profitability should largely sustain amid focus on mix and costs, variations remains comfortable in spite of robust operational/financial growth in last few years. However, Jefferies recommended underperform call on the auto stock and fixed a target price of Rs 630 per share. It said Tata Motors Q4FY25 EBITDA slipped 2%, as a result of lower margins at JLR. It anticipates a challenging year ahead for JLR, highlighting pressure from US tariffs, soaring competition in China, and increasing customer
acquisition costs.

The company declared a dip of 51.34% year-on-year (YoY) in the consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders of the company to Rs 8,470 crore for Q4FY25 as against the net profit of Rs 17,407 crore declared in the corresponding quarter of last year. total revenue from operations for Q4FY25 at Rs 119,503 crore as compared to Rs 119,033 crore reported in the similar quarter of last year. Total income of the company jumped to Rs 121,012 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 120,431 crore declared Q4FY24. Meanwhile, the total expenses of Tata Motors reported at Rs 109,056 crore for Q4FY25 as against Rs 111,136 crore announced in Q4FY24.

Life Insurance Corporation Of India (LIC) has 3.15% with 115,956,632 shares of the company as of March 2025 quarter. LIC stake stood at 2.54% for December 2024 quarter.
Tata Motors Declared Final Dividend
The company on May 13, 2025 recommended declaration of final dividend of Rs 6.00 per Equity Share of Rs 2 each (@ 300%) for the financial year ended March 31, 2025.
