18k gold price today are retailing at Rs 71,640/10 grams and 18k/100 grams yellow metal rates stood at Rs 7,16,400 as prices remained flat on May 03, 2025. 24k per gram gold price stood steady at Rs 9,551, 22k per gram gold remained unchanged at Rs 8,755, and 18k per gram yellow metal rate stayed flat at Rs 7,164 on Saturday.

According to Reuters report, “”With safe-haven demand softening, prices could ease back even more and potentially break this week’s support near the $3,200 area,” said Fawad Razaqzada, market analyst at City Index and FOREX.com.
On the other hand, Sugandha Sachdeva, Founder of SS WealthStreet said, “Despite recent declines, gold prices appear to be finding support near $3,200 per ounce and ₹91,700 per 10 grams. This support is underpinned by growing concerns over the US economy, which contracted by 0.3% in Q1 2025, a sharp contrast to the previous quarter’s 2.4% growth. Additionally, the PCE price index for March remained flat, potentially opening the door for the Federal Reserve to consider rate cuts in its upcoming June and July meetings, which could act as a tailwind for gold.”
Meanwhile, Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst – Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities said, “The lack of clarity and shifting stances from the US on ongoing trade discussions has led market participants to unwind short positions in gold, providing fresh upside momentum. With trade talks showing little concrete progress, safe-haven interest is returning gradually. Volatility is expected to remain elevated, with gold likely to trade in a broad range of Rs 92,000–Rs 94,500 in the coming sessions.”

Spot gold slipped 0.4% at $3,228.50 an ounce as of 1:41 p.m. ET (1741 GMT). Spot silver slid 1.3% to $31.98 an ounce, platinum surged 0.1% to $959.20 and palladium gained 0.6% to $946.18. All three metals were on track for weekly declines, added the Reuters report.
