Gold price in India today witnessed rally for second consecutive day as market participants shifted focus to US President Donald Trumpâs tariff plans and crucial inflation report for more cues. 24 carat gold price today surged by Rs 170 to settle at Rs 83,020/10 grams and 100 grams of 24 carat precious metal prices rallied by Rs 1700 to Rs 8,30,200. Meanwhile, 22 carat gold rate today surged for 2nd day in a row by Rs 150 to Rs 76,100/10 grams and 100 grams of 22 carat precious metal prices today surged by Rs 1500 to Rs 7,61,000.
On the other hand, 18k gold rate today is retailing at Rs 62,270/10 grams after surge by Rs 130 while 100 grams of 18k yellow metal stood at Rs 6,22,700 after gain by Rs 1300 on Thursday. 1 gram gold price today for 22 carat gold surged by Rs 15 to Rs 7,610 and 1 gram gold rate today for 24k soared by Rs 17 to Rs 8,302. 1 gram gold rate in India today for 18k stood at Rs 6,227 after gain by Rs 13, according to Goodreturns.in.
According to Reuters, investors are now awaiting the December personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index report, due on Friday, to assess the inflation trajectory. âInvestment demand has to increase to keep gold prices moving towards the $2,900 or $3,000 level,âsaid Soni Kumari, a commodity strategist at ANZ.
Spot Gold Prices Today
Spot gold surged 0.1% at $2,761.44 per ounce, as of 0402 GMT. US gold futures zoomed 0.1% to $2,773.30. The premium over spot rates was at approximately $12. Spot silver rallied 0.2% at $30.88 per ounce, platinum edged higher 1.2% to 957.67, and palladium rose 0.9% to $970.58, added Reuters.
