HUDCO Approves Rs 65,000 Cr Fundraise, Shares Plunge 42.44%

Navratna PSU Housing & Urban Development Corporation shares (HUDCO) share price today declined 2.88% on BSE to Rs 203.75 per share as Sensex slid 930.67 points to 75,364.69. HUDCO share price witnessed impressive gains of 20.63% in last 1-month. During the similar tenure, Sensex gained 3.25% and BSE Financial Services index surged 7.10%. The PSU has a market capitalisation of Rs 40,788.71 crore and return on equity (ROE) at 17.05%. Earlier, shares of the PSU traded ex-dividend on March 14, 2025 for Rs 1.05 per equity share or 10.50% of the face value of Rs 10/- each. The company had recommended an interim dividend of Rs 1.05/- per equity share. It is worth noting that stake Life Insurance Corporation Of India (LIC) in HUDCO stood at 7.84%. Board of HUDCO Approves Fundraise

According to the BSE filing of HUDCO dated April 4, 2025, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, this is to inform that the Board of Directors, in their meeting held on 4^th April, 2025 i.e., inter-alia considered and approved:

Annual Resource plan/ Borrowing programme (raising of funds) up to a maximum amount of Rs.65,000 Crore during the financial year 2025-26, depending upon actual funds requirement; and
Increase in overall borrowing limit to Rs.2,50,000 Crore from existing limit of Rs.1,50,000 Crore as earlier approved by shareholders u/s 180(1)(c) of the Companies Act, 2013, subject to the approval of same by Shareholders.”
