Multibagger Navratna public sector undertaking NLC India Ltd share price today settled 1.11% lower on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) to Rs 236.35 per share as Sensex declined 271.17 points to 82,059. The PSU today declared a massive jump of 321.88% year-on-year (YoY) in its net profit attributable to owners of company at Rs 481.96 crore for Q4FY25 as against Rs 114.24 crore declared in the corresponding quarter of last year. The company also declared a final dividend of Rs 1.50 per share for the financial year 2024-25. The stock gained over 4.67% in last 2-weeks as Sensex surged 1.56% and BSE Utilities index gained 1.20% during the same time period.
The stock offered attractive returns of 176.59% in last 2-years. Meanwhile, the company has a market capitalisation of Rs 32,773.16 crore. Its return on equity (ROE) stood at 8.54%. FII/FPI have increased holdings from 2.86% to 2.91% in Mar 2025 qtr. NLC India Recommends Dividend
According to the BSE filing of the PSU dated May 19, 2025, βRecommendation of Final Dividend of 15.00% (i.e. Rs.1.50 per equity share) for the Financial Year 2024-25, subject to C&AG Audit and approval of Members at the ensuing Annual General Meeting. The details of closure of Register of Members and Share Transfer Books/Record date and date on which the said Final dividend shall be paid/dispatched will be intimated in due course after fixing the date of Annual General Meeting.β
NLC India Q4FY25 Results
The company declared its consolidated revenue from operations for Q4FY25 jumped to Rs 3836.00 crore from Rs 3540.64 crore declared in Q4FY24. Consolidated total income of the PSU announced at Rs 3971.90 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs 4034.53 crore reported in the similar quarter of last year. Total expenses stood at Rs 3880.46 crore for Q4FY25 from Rs 3600.00 crore. The earning per share (EPS) of NLC India declined to Rs -0.40 from Rs 2.22 declared in Q4FY24.
EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation) zoomed to Rs 861.3 crore for Q4FY25 from Rs 602 crore announced in Q4FY24. EBITDA margin grew to 22.5% from 17% in the year-ago quarter.
Meanwhile, it gave nod for the incorporation of a Joint Venture Company with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RVUNL) with equity participation of the Company and RVUNL in the ratio of 74:26. The JV will focus on establishing, maintaining and operating 3 x 125 MW Lignite based Thermal Power Station and to develop and operate lignite mines to meet the requirements of the Thermal Power Plant, subject to compliance of DIPAM guidelines and necessary approvals of MoC and other departments, as may be required.

The 52-week high of NLC India share price on BSE stood at Rs 311.65 per share (as on 16/07/2024) and 52-week low price is Rs 185.85 per share (as on 17/02/2025), respectively. NLC India shares declined 1.54% in last 1-year, surged 193.97% in last 3-years, and offered eye-popping returns of 466.11% in last 5-years.
