Tata Motors share price today sank 1.98% on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) to Rs 693.90 per share as Sensex gained over 95 points to 81,243.81 in afternoon trade. The decline in the stock occurred after the company reporting lackluster financial results on May 13, 2025. The auto sector stock reported a fall of 51.34% year-on-year (YoY) in its consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders of the company to Rs 8,470 crore for Q4FY25 as against the net profit of Rs 17,407 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of last year. The company also declared a final dividend of Rs 6.00 per equity share of the face value of Rs 2.00 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2025.
Record date for dividend is yet to be declared. Meanwhile, the company has a market capitalisation of Rs 2,55,467.20 crore. The return on equity (ROE) stood at 20.24%. Tata Motors Recommends Final Dividend
According to the exchange filing of the company dated May 13, 2025, โWe would like to inform that the Board of Directors at its Meeting held today has recommended declaration of final dividend of Rs 6.00 per Equity Share of Rs 2 each (@ 300%) for the financial year ended March 31, 2025. The dividend, if declared at the AGM, shall be paid to the eligible shareholders on or before June 24, 2025.โ
Tata Motors Q4FY24 Results
The large cap stock announced its total revenue from operations for Q4FY25 at Rs 119,503 crore as compared to Rs 119,033 crore reported in the similar quarter of last year. Total income of the company jumped to Rs 121,012 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 120,431 crore declared Q4FY24. Meanwhile, the total expenses of Tata Motors reported at Rs 109,056 crore for Q4FY25 as against Rs 111,136 crore announced in Q4FY24.

Global brokerage firm CLSA assigned โoutperformโ call with target price pf Rs 805 per share on Tata Motors. The analyst said that while JLR remains alert about demand in FY26 due to tariffs and several macroeconomic conditions, it does not anticipate the luxury passenger vehicle market to be largely impacted.
Meanwhile, Emkay Global recommended buy call with target price of Rs 800 per share as near-term growth challenges persist. The analyst anticipates profitability should largely sustain, amid focus on mix and costs; valuation is comfortable, despite robust operational/financial improvements in the past few years.
On the other hand, Jefferies has โunderperformโ call on the auto stock with a target price of Rs 630 per share. It said Tata Motors fourth-quarter EBITDA slipped by 2% , largely due to lower margins at JLR. It anticipates a challenging year ahead for JLR, highlighting pressure from US tariffs, soaring competition in China, and increasing customer acquisition costs.

The 52-week high of Tata Motors stock price on BSE is Rs 1179.05 per share (as on 30/07/2024) and 52-week low price is Rs 542.55 per share (as on 07/04/2025), respectively. Tata Motors shares gained over 7% in last 2-weeks when Sensex surged 1.24%, BSE Auto index surged 4.64%, and BSE Discretionary index rallied 3.24%.
